Osaka (Aug. 2016): Back to Dotonbori/Shinsaibashi + Airport

On to the last day of our trip, it was pretty much a simple day spent on shopping for last-minute souvenirs/clothes we wanted to buy the day before/etc. We decided to just go back to Dotonbori/Shinsaibashi, since it was within walking distance from our AirBnb–also, since it’s pretty much the central shopping district of Osaka. Apart from that, we didn’t really go to any other new place.

Compared to Shinsaibashi during the night in my previous post, this is how it looks like during day time. Still as lively as ever, but I still prefer how it looks with all the pretty lights in the evening! ♥

And, we’re back here again! haha!

We dropped by Pablo’s Cheesecake store in Shinsaibashi, since we wanted to bring this home as a souvenir. This was still during the time Pablo still wasn’t open in the Philippines.

I thought it would be useful to take pictures of the prices here for comparison.

We bought a box of the matcha sabrel cheese. It’s actually pretty good, but I prefer the classic Pablo cheesecake, only because I like the dense cheesecake texture, compared to the biscuit type for this one.

Ughhh so good!!

After buying some cheesecake, we went straight to look for a place to have lunch in. Since we were pretty short on time (our flight was scheduled in the evening), we decided to just eat in McDonalds.

We wanted to try at least one new and different thing in a Japanese McDonalds, so we bought this banana-flavored McFlurry! (Okay, so we tried it, but we didn’t get to enjoy it as much because we were already so full! :()

After quick lunch, we went around the area to shop for last-minute stuff. We tried exploring the alleys that we didn’t get to check out the other day. We also took the time to revisit some shops we wanted to come back to, since we also had to prioritize shopping time for our other family members who had their flights scheduled the day before.

After shopping, we took a break at the huge Starbucks branch along Dotonbori. If ever you find yourself shopping with a big group in this area, I suggest you use this place as your meeting spot. It’s along the main street, plus the Starbucks is bigger than your usual Starbucks!

We went back to our AirBnB pack up and check out. We didn’t really have the time to rest since our flight was scheduled in the evening, so we headed straight for the train station.
