I realized after having spent time outside the hotel on the second night, I still had not fully recovered from my fever. So, for Day 2, I had to rest at the hotel again for the entire morning while my family went out to check out another souk/market. I felt a bit down that I had not been able to visit a souk throughout the first few days of the trip, but I knew it was more important to focus on my recovery.
For the entire morning of Day 3, my sisters handled the camera and managed to take some nice photos of the souk they visited.
In the afternoon, my family came back to the hotel to invite me to join the rest of the group for a tour around the Marina area. Lined up in the places to visit were The Atlantis at the Palm Jumeirah, and the Jumeirah Beach Walk–both of which were places I really wanted to visit, so without question, I got up and got dressed to join them for the city tour planned out for the entire afternoon till evening.
We didn’t really explore the interiors of The Atlantis much since we were focused on doing just a brief city tour. To add to that, we already had The Atlantis scheduled in the later days of our itinerary, so we knew we would have more time to better explore the place later on.

After visiting The Atlantis, we headed to the Mall of Emirates to have an early dinner. One of the things we (well, more specifically, me and my sister) looked forward to the most was eating the food at Shake Shack, since we don’t have that in the Philippines, plus, the last time my sister had Shake Shack was back when she went to the US several years back.
More golden than any other gold, oh glorious Shake Shack ♥
After a hearty dinner with the juiciest burgers, and the most decadent milkshakes, we set out to visit the Jumeirah Beach for a night stroll.
Spotted some street performers along the strip! (Why that kid is looking at my camera, nobody knows. No one will ever know..)
Towards the end of the beach walk was an open carnival area with all sorts of game booths
It reminded me of the Bonifacio High Street walk in Manila, except this one is located along a beach. The whole shopping strip was very modern and hip. Even the bathroom designs (although not photographed) had a very modern geometric design with multi-angular facades. All in all, it was a very active and lively place to be in since you can stroll along a very spacious and clean pedestrian walk with all the shops and restaurants lined up along it.
